Four days off!

After my shift ends tonight, I can look forward to four days off. I can’t wait! I have quite a bit of stuff that I need to do on the Internet this weekend so having all this time off will help me out a lot. Mind you I will have the entire family home this weekend as well, but I’m still confident that I will be able to get all my work done. Who knows, maybe I’ll even find time to search for philadelphia inquirer jobs as well. But, even if I don’t get everything done that needs to be done, I’ll still be able to enjoy being home and not having to put up with cranky customers and staff for two days.

Time sure flies

Last week time seemed to stand still (I had both kids home on March break). Now this week, time seems to be flying right by me. I can’t believe it’s Wednesday already. That just goes to show you, that with two little people home, this really messes up my schedule. But this week I have been able to get so much accomplished. I’m pretty much done all my online work that got back up and I have most of the housework done as well. Hopefully I finish up on everything and will be able to spend a nice, relaxed, quite weekend with the family.

Uncertain times

Well this weekend we got the official news that our trailer park has been sold. What does this mean for us?? Well, I have no clue. I don’t know if there will be any changes or not. I really hope that the lot rent doesn’t go up, but my husband and I have decided to get prepared just in case it does. This means that we will have to re-arrange some things to start saving some extra money just in case we need to pay higher lot rent or even possibly move. So today I am going to check online for a cheaper online term life insurance quote just in case I can save some money in this area. I’ll be sure to let you all know how this hiccup in our life affects us all.

And… it was a long week

Well as I predicted in an earlier post, this past week was very, very long. Yes, these two did in fact fight all week! I was never so happy as I was last night when I had to go to work. At least I was able to get a small break from all this fighting. Even though our receipt printer broke and I ended up spending most of the night on the phone trying to get someone to come in and fix it, it was still less stressful than being home. But… it’s now the weekend and that means I only have to put in two more days and then these kids will be back in school where they belong. I’ll be sure to let you know if I make it!

It’s going to be a long…. week!

When the kids arrived home from school on Friday it was the start of their March break. Well…. since they spent the first two days of their break fighting, I can only assume that this is what I have to look forward to for the remainder of their time off. These two really do love one another, but for some reason they feel the need to fight over everything. Honestly if this doesn’t let up, I really don’t know what I will end up doing. Oh well, that’s life with two little people I guess. I’ll just have to make sure that I have a whole bottle of Advil on hand for their entire March break.

Different type of insurance

While I was surfing the net this morning in the hopes of finding a cheaper life insurance quote, I stumbled across a site that sells mechanical breakdown insurance. What a neat idea! It really is no benefit to me, but I did send the link to my uncle that has his own business. He hadn’t heard of it before so he was quite happy that I sent him the link. It really does amaze me on what type of things and information is available in today’s market. What will they come up with next?

School dance

My daughter’s junior high is having their winter dance this coming Wednesday night. I’ve got to tell you all I was a little surprised with her by her actions over this dance. The last couple that she went to she had a blast, but this one she barely mentioned. She did mention it to her father yesterday but didn’t ask for any money for a ticket. Now… that’s not her. This morning her father did give her the money for a ticket, but he had to ask her if she wanted to go, she wasn’t begging him to go. Maybe the dances aren’t as fun for her as she thought they would be? Oh well, who knows with little kids right?

Winter vacation

Every year my husband gets four weeks of vacation. But… one of those weeks, he has to take between January and March. So yeah, not much of a vacation. He has chosen to take next week off. So next week I will have my biggest child home for the week. Since we can’t do anything or go anywhere (the kids are still in school) I have some plans for him to get some work done around the house. I’m going to get him to finally put up the wood blinds that we purchased before Christmas and I’m also going to get him to help me move back into my home office. Oh don’t worry, I’ll let him have some time to himself. After all, it is his vacation time. lol

Getting older

I swear to god the older I get, the more acne and pimples I get. I never, ever had this problem as a teenager growing up and I guess maybe this is why it bothers me so much. I spend so much money on creams and lotions that it’s starting to get a bit ridiculous. It seems like every year this acne problem pops up in a different place. All I need to do is find acne on the neck and I will be all set. Part of this problem I think is due to the winter dry weather that we get around here, so hopefully within the next month or so my acne problems will calm down. I certainly hope so, I’m starting to look like one big pimple.
