Only two weeks left before the kids head back to school. Yay! Can’t you tell that I’m excited?? The kids are too so I don’t feel real bad about all my excitement. It’s been quite a long summer with the kids home and I will be quite happy when they go back to a normal routine. My two kids are the kind of kids that NEED to be in school. They need the routine and the structure that they receive from going to school. They are now starting to get bored so they are now fighting a lot. But, there is only two more weeks to go so I think I can survive. If you see me posting here after September 2, then you know that I did in fact make it. lol

If your children are anything like my own and are addicted to owning police gear then you really need to check out this website. This website is completely focused on supply customers with 5.11 Tactical gear and police gear. They have a very extensive inventory of products and their prices are extremely reasonable.
With back to school coming up very shortly, purchases from this website would definitely be a hit for the kids for back to school clothes. I have been checking out this website and have found a lot of products that I know my kids would dearly love. So for all your police gear purchases, why not drop by this site.

I am always amazed when I walk into a mall and see a lot of people wearing pretty much the same thing. That is how I know when different apparel is in fashion. That, and if my kids tell me. The latest fashion that my kids seem to be into is the tactical look. They both love the tactical pant and tactical shirts that are available for kids on the market these days. They have both indicated that they would like to have a couple of these outfits for going back to school. So I have been checking out the website over at 511tacticaloutdoors.com to see which types of clothing are popular this year. By both of them asking for these types of clothes, my back to school shopping has just been made a whole lot easier this year.

I got a phone call today from the kids school. The school wants to sponsor both kids for an art day camp that our town is hosting this summer. Out of the eight weeks of summer they can pick four weeks of camp to go to. Each week is a different theme and a different concentration on the arts. They have the opportunity to learn painting techniques, sculpting, improve, drawing and so much more. The tuition for this camp is $40 a week for each kid, but the school has agreed to pay for it.
The kids were begging me and their father to let them go. We have decided that we will since the only thing that this will cost us will be a little bit of gas money. I think this will be great for them as they both enjoy crafts so much and this will get them out of a hot trailer during the summer. I just love the kid’s school for giving them yet another wonderful opportunity to be involved with.

Well today was the day that both the kids went on a field trip to the civic center to plant some marigold seeds. It was quite fun and interesting the first time I went. Because of a screw up of my own doing, I ended up taking the field trip twice with the kids. For some reason, I thought they were both going at the same time so I offered to drive. Then I found out a day later that they were going separately. But, because I already said I would drive that meant two trips to the civic center for me. But it wasn’t that bad and the kids got to plant their seeds. In June they will be going to the town hall and planting their plants. And yes…this time they will be doing it together. lol

Wow, I can’t believe that this is the middle of March already! It seems like it was just yesterday that I was getting the kids all ready to go back to school. Now we are getting close to getting the kids ready for summer. Camping, yeah!! (I just had to throw throw that in). On Thursday they will come home with their second report card of the year, and that means that their is only one report card day left of the year.
The kids have had a great year with no complaints from or about either one of them. So even though the school season is slowly coming to an end, I have to say that both kids will be happy to have it behind them. After a small break for summer vacation, I’m sure they will look forward to another fast, but wonderful school year. Grade 3 and 5. Boy, don’t I feel old!!

My daughter is not real pleased with me today. A couple of days ago she got a note sent home from school telling all parents that someone in her class has head lice. So we needed to check the kids heads and make sure that they don’t have it and if they do, do the treatment and report it back to the school. Thankfully after checking her over, she does not have it. But, she has seriously long and thick hair. I shudder at the thoughts of if she did have it.
The school gave us a suggestion that if the child has long hair (which she does) to make sure it’s pulled back and in a pony tail. Well I can’t tell you how much she hates wearing a pony tail. But I insisted! There is no way I want her getting head lice if I can possibly prevent it. So off to school she went in a pony tail and let me tell you, she was annoyed. But I’d rather her be annoyed with me than have to go through the unwelcoming process of trying to get rid of lice in HER hair.
