Well since my husband gave up his alec bradley cigars I have decided to try to quit smoking myself. I have been a smoker for over 30 years and I know this is going to be one heck of a ride. I have tried to quit in the past but have been unsuccessful with my attempts. But this time I think it will be different. This time I think it will be different because this time I really want to accomplish this. So… hopefully soon I will be able to report that I’m smoke free. It’s been a long time coming.

What a messed up day we had yesterday. Our weather station was predicting a major snowstorm later in the day and boy did we get it. Both the kids went to school in the morning but about two hours later my son called me from school to say he was sick. So I went to get him. After we got home I noticed I had a message from my daughter’s school that they were closing the schools an hour later. If he had of stayed at school for one more hour I wouldn’t have had to go get him. Then my daughter’s bus was late and she arrived home late in the middle of this storm. Man… what a messed up day and I was just happy that they all got home safely.

Well once again I get to spend my day digging out from another major snowstorm. Honestly folks I’d rather buy gold off the Internet that dig out that snow shovel once again. But since my husband got called into work very early this morning it looks like it’s up to me and the children to find our way out of the driveway once again. The children are looking forward to this adventure but I’m certainly not. Man… I can’t wait until spring has finally arrived!

So last night instead of working on my diet pill reviews like I was supposed to I sat down and figured out mine and my husband’s income tax for the past year. Well…. I am happy to report that neither one of owes anything this year and matter of fact we are both getting some income tax back! Yay, what a great feeling! So now all we have to do is file these taxes and then sit and wait for about six weeks to get our refund check in the mail. So another year has gone by and the government owes us money. Now you know why I was doing taxes last night instead of working.

For years now the kids have been asking their father and I for a puppy. But because we live in such a small home we really haven’t considered it. About a month ago a girl I work with told me her dog had puppies. Her dog is a very small dog which means the puppies would be also. We thought that would be great for us. But… after talking to her more about it, I don’t think we’ll be getting a puppy from her. She wants $300 for each puppy. Well that’s a little bit more than I’m willing to spend. If I spent that and bought dog training aids, dog food and everything else he would need, I would be in the poor house. So I guess it doesn’t look like we are getting a puppy any time soon.

Wow, this has been one very long week! I am so glad it’s almost over and I am quiet looking forward to the weekend. There has been a ton of stuff going on in my house lately and it seems like life isn’t getting easier at this point. There is a few things that are going on that should be straightened out over the weekend. So if I can survive the next couple of days maybe next week won’t turn into another bad week. Here’s to hoping for a better week next week.

So as you can all tell I wasn’t online much this weekend. I didn’t do any blogging and didn’t finish up any transcription jobs as well. I did have to work for a few hours on Sunday but other than that, the weekend was completely mine. I absolutely love having the weekends to myself so I’m going to try from now on to have all my work completed by Friday nights. It has worked well for me for the past couple of weeks so I’m going to try to keep this streak up. I’ll let you all know how I make out on this endeavor.

Well now that the weekend is creeping up on me there is a lot of things that I have to get done today. I have to go out and get some groceries today as we are supposed to get more snow over the weekend and if I don’t do it today it might not get done. I have a bit of computer work I’m trying to finish today as well this way I won’t have to work on the computer at all this weekend and I can just sit back and enjoy it.

Yesterday we were hit with a major snowstorm. It started snowing pretty hard even before the children arrived home from school. I was able to get my son home without incident, but my daughter was a different story. Her bus was over an hour late and for an hour I had no clue as to where she was. So my son and I headed (walking) down the road to see if we could find her. Well I fell! Last night and today my should is aching really bad so I think I might have done something to my shoulder. I really wish I had an ipod touch 32 in my possession. That way I wouldn’t have had to head down the road. I could have called someone and not have made that walk and wouldn’t have fallen. If my shoulder is still aching tomorrow I might just have to get it checked. I just hope that I’m able to do my shift at work tonight. At this point I’m not sure.

Since I’ve had both children home from school these past couple of weeks, I have not really been able to get much accomplished. Well today they both went back to school! I am so happy. Not only do I have the entire house back to myself all day, but I think I will be able to get quite a bit of stuff done today as well. On top of my to do list is I have to find some cheap managed hosting service and then if I have time I’m going to start deep cleaning my house. I really don’t mind all the work I have ahead of me as I’m pretty sure I can get most of it done now that I’m alone for awhile.
