Well as I stated before, we do not agree with the rules that our new owners of this park are trying to enforce. I have been in contact with the rental’s man and they have instructed me on what to do next. Well today I had a surprise knock on my door. It was a reporter from one of our local radio stations. They wanted to get my thoughts and views on the whole situation and I was more than willing to spill my guts. Hopefully I haven’t made matters worse and soon all of this will be resolved.
I live in a trailer park and have been here for over 11 years. Well three months ago we were bought out from another company and now they have decided to throw a few (I mean lots!) of new rules at us. Well my husband and I don’t agree with some of them. So we are not signing the new lease.
One of the rules is that you are only allowed to have two vehicles in your yard. Well we have three. We need three because my husband’s car insurance company will not ensure me so I have to have my own car and own insurance. And the third vehicle is his work truck which he needs for work.
There are other rules we don’t agree with either, but this is the big one. So I guess we will see what happens when we don’t sign the lease. I think this is going to be a problem for months to come.
Man my housework really is getting away from me these days. It has really been too hot to do any amount of housework these days. Today I really wanted to clean the door hangers and the woodwork. But by the time I was able to get around to it, it was really too hot in here to do the work. Hopefully later on tonight it will cool down and I will be able to get some of this cleaning done. If not, I’m sure it will wait until tomorrow. Hopefully tomorrow won’t be quite so warm.
I have to say that I’m starting to get really impressed with my outside space these days. Over the weekend my husband built on to our deck, painted the deck, bought a picnic table, purchased some outdoor cushions and painted the trim work on our home. Outside is starting to look better than inside. We still have a little bit of work left to do outside, but I am quite excited to see the way this is all taking place. After outside is all finished, I guess we will have to stay inside and finish the inside.
That’s right folks, I’m finally done with that huge file and the days of 12 hour typing. I finished proofing the file and have sent it to my contract. It’s done! Now with all that typing out of the way, I can start doing some things that I have neglecting over the past few days. I can catch up on the laundry which includes washing my living room rugs, I’ll get the dishes all caught up and quite possibly get my office and bedroom cleaned. But at least I won’t be tied to the computer much longer. Yay!
I must say that last weekend was probably one of the nicest weekends we have had so far this spring. All weekend it was nice and sunny out and very warm. Although I did have a bit of work to do in the house, I will admit that I played hooky from all my computer work and spent most of my weekend outside. I spent a lot of time cleaning up the yard and setting up my outside furniture. Now if I only had an outdoor fireplace my entire yard would look complete. I absolutely love spring and now that we’ve seen a major sign of it, I can almost bet most of my days will be spent outside.
Well the spring cleaning around here has started once again. Yesterday I decided to get a start on the bathroom. So I started going through all the cupboards and closets. You would be amazed at what I discovered at the back at one of the cupboards. I actually found an old bottle of prenatal vitamins. Well…. since I don’t plan on having any more children of my own (just grandchildren), I wasn’t long in getting rid of these vitamins. It really does amaze me when I see all the junk I have collected over the years. Oh well…. back to the grind.
We have been doing some serious renovations lately. We have tackled the living room and the kitchen and really aren’t done yet. I would love to completely gut my bathroom and re-do it. But… I just can’t talk my husband into this type of renovation because of the high cost. I would love to install hand dryers and a whirlpool tub. But just these two items alone would cost a fortune. When and if I ever get a house, you can almost bet that these two items will be high on my “I want” list.
Every year my husband gets four weeks of vacation. But… one of those weeks, he has to take between January and March. So yeah, not much of a vacation. He has chosen to take next week off. So next week I will have my biggest child home for the week. Since we can’t do anything or go anywhere (the kids are still in school) I have some plans for him to get some work done around the house. I’m going to get him to finally put up the wood blinds that we purchased before Christmas and I’m also going to get him to help me move back into my home office. Oh don’t worry, I’ll let him have some time to himself. After all, it is his vacation time. lol
Since I don’t have a whole lot on my plate today, I’ve decided to once again to get started on my Spring cleaning. I really, really do hate to clean, but since nobody else in this house even knows what Anilox cleaners are, I guess the cleaning will be left up to me. The first room I plan on tackling is our bedroom. And to do this right, it’s probably going to take me a few days to get this all done. Oh well, all this clutter only seems to bother me, so I guess I can take my time to get it done. Now…. if I could only find the motivation to get started. lol
