Every year my husband gets four weeks of vacation. But… one of those weeks, he has to take between January and March. So yeah, not much of a vacation. He has chosen to take next week off. So next week I will have my biggest child home for the week. Since we can’t do anything or go anywhere (the kids are still in school) I have some plans for him to get some work done around the house. I’m going to get him to finally put up the wood blinds that we purchased before Christmas and I’m also going to get him to help me move back into my home office. Oh don’t worry, I’ll let him have some time to himself. After all, it is his vacation time. lol

Since I don’t have a whole lot on my plate today, I’ve decided to once again to get started on my Spring cleaning. I really, really do hate to clean, but since nobody else in this house even knows what Anilox cleaners are, I guess the cleaning will be left up to me. The first room I plan on tackling is our bedroom. And to do this right, it’s probably going to take me a few days to get this all done. Oh well, all this clutter only seems to bother me, so I guess I can take my time to get it done. Now…. if I could only find the motivation to get started. lol

I seriously hate shopping! I hate going into the stores with all the crowds and I really, really hate spending money. But, I need to head out to the malls later today. I’m hoping it’s not crowded and I can get in and out with what I need. I want to make new curtains for all the bedrooms and to do this I need to go to the store to purchase the fabric. I have put it off long enough. But, I just can’t seem to get myself into a store. But, I promised my husband and the kids that I would make these stupid curtains, so I guess I’m going to have to bite the bullet and go shopping. Wish me luck!!

There are two things I dread about the Christmas season arriving. One is the Christmas shopping that needs to be done (I hate shopping!!) and the other one is all the Christmas cleaning that has to be done as well. Well so far I have three rooms in the house cleaned, but I am far…. from done. This morning I tried to clean the kitchen, but with all the glass tile that needed to be cleaned and polished, I got a little tired and gave that particular job up for the day. So I have decided to try to clean up my home office instead and do the kitchen on a different day. I know it all has to be done sooner rather than later, but I just don’t have the energy for it today.

I wish I was rich and could afford a maid. The first place I would send her would be to the bathroom. I hate doing housework, but I really despise cleaning the bathroom. I hate everything about it. The sink, the toilet and the bath tub are so hard to clean. But I’m not rich so I have to do the housework all on my own. I can’t wait until my daughter gets a bit older. You can just bet that one of her chores will be to clean the bathroom. I think this is the only way that I will get my maid.

Earlier this spring I had started doing some spring cleaning. But like everything else in my life, I kind of put off doing the rest of it. Well I decided that it’s time to get back it. Yesterday I went through my medicine cabinet and threw out all my husband’s old diet pills. Yeah, I realize that he is probably just going to come home with new diet pills to replace the ones I threw out, but I really needed to get them out of the house. My husband is the worst pack rat I know. He still has receipts from 1998 in one of our drawers. So guess where I’m headed next?? To the drawers to throw out a bunch of old receipts. Don’t ya just love spring cleaning during the summer??

About three weeks ago the park owner’s moved another trailer into our area. But that’s as far as the activity went in this move. For there weeks we have not seen any sign of the new owners and were really starting to wonder if they were even going to move in. We were even wondering if they sent out any Moving Announcements or Announcements Moving Cards.

Well late Saturday night they started moving in their stuff. I haven’t actually met them yet, but my husband did and he claims that they seem very nice. So whether we like it or not, we now have some new neighbors. I really do hope their as nice as my husband says they are. We’ve had a little trouble with one neighbor so I’m always a little nervous when new people move in. But I’m sure once they get all settled in their friends and family will start receiving some housewarming invitations to announce their arrival. I wonder if they will give any of their new neighbors any housewarming party invitations as well.

One of my best friends just bought a house and they are having a housewarming party in a couple of weeks. My friend has already handed out all her invitations I have to tell you all that I am highly impressed with the looks of the cards. She had them specially ordered from www.announcements-shoppe.com. She had this company make her up some Photo Cards with a picture of her house on them. These turned out to be very beautiful cards. She also told me while she was there she bought some Photo Stationery as well. So, the next time I need cards or stationery of any kind, I know where I’m going to do my shopping.

Today is the day for our annual spring clean up here in the park. So all weekend long all the trailers here in the park have been placing all the garbage and unwanted items on the side of the road. You wouldn’t believe what people are throwing out. I even seen a couple of Kohler sinks by the side of the road. Now these things are quite expensive to buy new and it is an awful shame that they are being thrown away. Our pile in front of our house was actually one of the smaller piles in the neighborhood. It really is quite amazing the amount of stuff people were throwing out. I really have to wonder where they had stored all this stuff during the year.

Monday and Friday’s always seem to be the busiest days of the week for me. Normally on Monday I have to get all caught up with everything that I haven’t managed to complete over the weekend. And on Friday’s I normally have so much to do to get ready for the weekend. So since today is Friday, I have an extremely busy day ahead of me. I need to get quite a bit of computer work finished up and I have to finish up the rest of the housework. Because I work outside of the home on the weekends, most of this doesn’t get done on the weekends. So today is the day to get it all done.
