It was pretty much touch and go there for awhile, but I’m happy to report that I survived the kid’s long weekend. On Friday they fought a lot and I thought that if this was what I was going to be in for for the weekend I was going to be in some serious trouble. But their behaviour seemed to improve over the past few days so I was able to survive after all. I love the children dearly, but hate, hate when they have too many days off. But the vacation is over, they are back in school and I have the house to myself once again. So all is right in Kim land once again.

Unless you live under a rock, I’m sure you are all aware that this coming weekend is Easter. What that means at my house is that I have the family home for the next four days. So today is my last day of peace and quiet for a little while. So… what that means for me is that I have a pile of work that I need to get done before I have the family home for a few days.

I need to finish up the housework I started and I have a pretty big article writing job that needs to be complete as well. Since the subject matter of these articles in on teflon hose and I’m not really knowledgeable on this subject I need peace and quiet to do a lot of research. But I think I can get this all done today and then be able to enjoy the long weekend with my family.

Wow I can’t believe that January is almost behind us. Soon it will be February and it will be Valentine’s day. For the past couple of days I have been searching the Internet for valentines day present ideas and I think I’ve come up with a few ideas on how to surprise my husband. Not only is February 14th Valentine’s day, but it is also my husband’s 44th birthday as well. So I have to come up with some extra special for this wonderful day. I still have a little time to make a decision on what to purchase so I’m not worried yet.

How about you guys? Have you come up with any great gift giving ideas?

So how was every one’s Christmas?? Mine was amazing! My husband and I both had a few days off so it was pretty great to finally be able to spend some quality time together and with the kids. That hasn’t happened in a very long time. I pretty much got everything I asked for and then some. I would have loved to have gotten a reclining loveseat but… maybe next year. And now with New Year’s Eve just around the corner I can see that we are going to have even more fun. So, so far so good. The holidays have been great!
