As you read in my previous post, I’m not in the very best shape right now. So my weekend plans are pretty basic. I will not be doing a whole lot of anything. I am unable to do even the simplest tasks like sweeping my laminate flooring so doing any type of physical activity is out of the question. So I plan on just laying back, taking my meds and trying to get better.
What are your plans for the weekend?
Well this is it. This is the final two days of my husband’s vacation. It was a great week although I didn’t get much done around the house or even online this week. But oh well, that’s really what vacations are for now aren’t they? So I’m going to spend the next couple of days having fun with the family. And then on Monday I’ll worry about getting my articles on cable covers finished and my transcription job started and finished. Until then I’m not going to worry about work and just enjoy the time I have left on our vacation days to spend with the family.
Well yesterday I got most of my work done here around the house and I don’t have a shift at work tonight so I think today will end up being a very relaxing kind of day for me. I don’t have a whole lot of pressing things on the agenda today so I think I’m going to take a *me* day. I have a couple of loads of laundry to do today then I think I’m going to find my book and just chill until the children get home. I don’t get many days like today so I think I’m going to take advantage of it.

So I finally got both the kids back in school after their March break and then my husband decides to take a week off for vacation. Can you all say brutal??? Finally he went back to work this morning and both the kids are in school so for one day at least I have the whole house to myself and might be able to get a lot of work done. I have so much housework to do it really isn’t funny. I also have to look up Ordinateurs for my kid’s homework and have quite a bit of blogging and article writing to finish up as well. Oh well, what gets done gets done. But you can all bet that I will be enjoying the peace and quite that is in my house today.
Well it’s that time of year again. That time of year when my insurance payments become due once again. So once again I plan on spending a little bit of time online trying to find a cheaper insurance quote for my car. I have been doing a little digging already and have found a site over at www.estatecarinsure.com that looks very promising for my needs. With costs rising these days on everything, I really need to find a company that won’t cost me an arm and a leg to drive my car. I still do have about a month to make up my mind, so hopefully I’ll find a perfect company to go with that will charge me reasonable rates for all the coverage that I need.
The past couple of days have lulled me into the feeling that spring might just be around the corner. Boy… was I wrong. Right now we are in for another major storm that is supposed to start tomorrow. So I guess winter isn’t almost over. I really wish I could stop investing in acne skin care products, hats, mittens and gloves. But as long as winter continues to rear it’s ugly head, I’ll still have to be concerned with these items. Hopefully we don’t get half of what they are calling for and we can start to see some small signs of spring.
Yeah, I know it’s winter, but come on now! This is getting a little ridiculous. We have been getting hit with so much snow lately that it’s really not funny. I think this is the first year in over 12 years that we’ve lived here that we really have to worry about the amount of snow that’s on our roof. Too bad we don’t live in steel buildings then maybe we wouldn’t have to worry about cave ins. Last night my husband went back up on the roof to clear it off so we don’t have as much snow on the roof when we get hit again. I really, really can’t wait until this winter is over!
I’m really hoping that today turns into a quiet day. For the past few days I have had my youngest son home sick from school. He wasn’t really sick, but he did have quiet a bad cough and the teacher sent him home Tuesday due to this cough. So because of this cough I kept him home for a couple of extra days. But I sent him back this morning. So right now I’m sitting here in my nice quiet house and praying that the teacher doesn’t call me to come get him. I really need this down time and I’m really hoping I have this time to myself all day. After all tomorrow the kids and my husband will be home so there won’t be any quiet time for me for a couple of more days.
It seems like it’s been forever since I’ve had the house to myself. But it’s really only been a week. Last week I had a couple of my family home sick for most of the week as they were sick and the other two days the kids were home due to bad weather. Well I am happy to report that they are all out of the house today! So I get to do anything I want today without having any people underfoot. I love a quiet house!
