For the first time in six years my husband has decided that we are going to go to his Christmas staff party. So I guess we will be going out on a date! For the past six years we haven’t had a babysitter so we never ended up going. But now that our daughter is old enough and mature enough to watch her brother we have decided to go. I’m quite excited about it actually. It will be the first time in six years that him and I have gone out to eat without taking the children. Going out for supper sure sounds like more fun than staying home and writing articles on rv repairs now doesn’t it?? So…. next weekend we will be out on our date and I can’t wait!
It’s been almost a year since I joined the Neilsen’s scanning program and I’ve got to tell you all that it’s taking me a very long time to earn enough points to get a gift that I would like. For those of you who aren’t aware of this program it’s a program where you do your normal shopping and then when you get home, you scan your items into a symbol barcode scanner and then send off the info to the company. When you get enough points from all your scanning, you can redeem these points for gifts. I have been doing this faithfully for almost a year. It’s taking a while to accumulate points, but since it doesn’t require a lot of time or effort on my part, I’ll still keep plugging away at it.
Well except for the small storm that we had on Sunday I’ve got to tell you all that we’ve been pretty lucky and have been having a pretty nice fall. It’s been sunny more than rainy and the temps in our area are always above the freezing mark. It does get cold at night but since I don’t have to be out in that, I really don’t care. Man…. I hope this weather continues. I’m loving fall this year!
So the weekend has finally arrived. Do you have any plans for the weekend? I really don’t have a whole lot planned. I have to work on Sunday so that kind of takes care of most of that day. And tomorrow we have to go out to purchase some Halloween supplies and costumes. I’d like to say that the rest of the time is free so I can do anything that I like, but unfortunately that isn’t the case. I put off doing some articles on alcohol rehab treatment centers and now I have a looming deadline ahead of me. So I guess when I’m not shopping or working at my part time job this weekend I will be tied to my computer trying to get these articles done so I don’t miss my deadline or my pay.

Well I officially started my Christmas shopping. I have been doing a little checking online for some deals and came across an amazing site where I could pick up some gamestop coupons to help me out with my shopping needs. With the way the economy is these days and three kids to buy for, I am always on the look out for great deals and yes, coupons. So stumbling across this site was a real find for me. I haven’t gotten a lot of items yet, but at least I have started. I want to have all my shopping done long before Christmas approaches and now I think I’m on the right track.

Man… I’m starting to get pretty annoyed with my husband these days. We have a pretty nice vehicle right now and only a small car payment but he is once again looking at newer vehicles to purchase. The reason why I’m annoyed at this thought is because if he trades our vehicle in we will then have a higher car payment every month which means more money taken out of our budget each month. Now if we needed to invest in more life insurance even though we already have the best price for life insurance right now, I don’t think it would bother me quite so much. But since we have a perfectly good vehicle I don’t understand forking out more money for another one. Oh well, hopefully this is just all talk and we won’t be paying extra cash on a vehicle we don’t need.
Well once again it’s the weekend and once again we are experiencing crappy weather. So I guess that means instead of going outside and having fun in the sun I will be spending the weekend online and trying to find out what suppresses appetite in the best way. My husband has put on a lot of weight this summer and hasn’t been feeling the best so he has decided that if he wants to feel better he should probably look at shedding those extra pounds. So I guess since I won’t be able got outside and do anything this weekend, it’s a great weekend to sit on my computer and do some research.

I have to tell you all that I was highly impressed with some customer service that I received recently at one of our local stores. I was looking for a new camera and on the recommendation of the sales clerk I purchased one of the fuji cameras that he recommended to me. Well after I got it home, I discovered that it didn’t work. So I took it back. I ended up speaking to the manager and he was extremely helpful and pleasant and even gave me a free carrying bag because of my troubles. So because of this experience, you can just bet that the next time I need a camera or anything like that I will be headed back to that store.
Man… I hate feeling like crap. I’m so sore these days that all I can pretty much do is either lay around or sit on my computer looking up golf gifts for dad. So because of my limitations on doing anything I have been doing a bit of searching online. I need to find that perfect gift for my husband for our anniversary and just figured this would be a perfect time to do a little bit of research. I can’t wait until I start feeling better again. Maybe then I’ll get a bit of work done.
