Today is my husband and I’s 9th wedding anniversary. He is working today but I took the night off from my job so that we can have a nice little celebration. I sent out a few invitations to friends and family to join us for supper. While I was searching for these anniversary invitations online I discovered that you can get Halloween invitations as well. What a neat idea.

Hopefully the friends and family that we invited will be able to attend our little anniversary celebration. But if not, that’s okay too. As long as my husband, the kids and I are there, it will be a great night!

Friday night my husband and I went out on a date night. We first went to dinner where I seriously pigged out. At one point I thought I might have to take a fat burner because I ate so much. Then we went out to a club, had a couple of drinks and came home. Although it was not a expensive or even a late evening, just getting out and away together was enough. We don’t do this nearly enough, but I plan on changing that. I plan on going out like this at least once a month. After all, we all need a little alone time with our husband’s now don’t we??

My husband and I don’t normally have the opportunity to go out on a date. We have two young kids at home and no babysitter. So we normally do something with the kids. Well he came home yesterday with a big surprise for me. He found a sitter for Friday night and announced that he is taking me out for a date. He has decided to take me out to dinner and a movie. Since he’s been so good taking his best weight loss supplements that he could find and has taken off quite a bit of weight, he has decided that he wants to splurge and go out for a good meal. I don’t care why he made this decision to take me out, I’m just happy that he decided to do it. I can’t wait!

Two years ago my oldest son move out of the house. He moved quite far away and we have not seen him in these last two years. Well last week he e-mailed his brother and sister to tell them he is coming home for a visit around the first of August. Well my young son is just over the moon with this news. He has some serious plans for his brother when his brother does finally get home.

He plans on his brother taking him target practicing with his Airsoft BB gun and playing the PlayStation when they are not out shooting off their BB Airsoft Guns. I really hope his brother is up for all this. Every since my youngest son got his bb gun, he has been wanting someone to go shooting with him. My husband has taken him a couple of times with their guns bb airsoft, but to be able to go with his brother would just make my young son’s day. Now, hopefully nothing gets in the way of this visit or my youngest son is going to be extremely disappointed.

They say time flies while your having fun and I really think that my older brother and his wife will have to agree. This coming August they will be celebrating their 25th wedding anniversay. They have already started making plans for a massive party. Matter of fact my sister in law has already ordered all her Anniversary Invitations. I just got mine in the mail and I have to say that I was extremely impressed with the quality of the Wedding Anniversary Invitations that she had ordered. She ordered all her invitations from a site over at www.express-invitations.com.

When she told me where she got them, I just had to go and take a peek at the site myself. I have to tell you all that I was highly impressed with what I saw. Not only can you order any type of anniversary invitation that you want, but you can order anything from a 1st year anniversary to 50th anniversary invitations. When my husband and I hit the big 25, I can see myself ordering all our wedding anniversary invitations from this site as well. They really do an amazing job.

I’m not really a fan of TV. Just give me my radio and I’m set for the day. Now normally I just listen to the radio and rarely enter any contests or promotions that they have on. But, they are having a really neat contest on right now so I felt it was my duty to enter. First prize just happens to be a free hotel night stay at the newest hotel that just opened up in our area. I would love to win this prize for me and my husband. Him and I haven’t been away together for a night in over eight years. So I think it’s about time. I really hope I win! I would be great to get away even if it’s just for one night.

Santa Clause is coming to town and he will be arriving in our little town sometime tonight. Tonight is our annual Christmas parade and our entire family is going. I don’t know who is more excited about the parade. The kids…or me. But due to all this excitement you can just bet that we will be up front and center for all the action. Right now it has been snowing all night and all morning long so this little bit of snow that we got will make the parade all the much more special. The only downfall is that it is really cold outside today so I’m really hoping that we get a good parking spot. I think we may need to leave a little early so we are able to get a spot near the parade route and maybe we won’t have to spend so much time out in the cold. But these things only come once a year so I’m sure we will manage all right.

Every year my kid’s school puts in a float in our local Santa Clause parade. And every year they are asking for volunteers to be on the parade committee. Normally I don’t offer my services as I don’t want to commit to something and then not be able to follow through. But this year I decided to give them a hand. Actually I don’t have to do very much for the parade float this year. All I need to do is to go to our local cattle supplies store and order quite a few bales of hay. So my job is a pretty simple one I would say. It’s a real good thing that we live in farm country. This made my job a lot easier. So when the float drives by this upcoming weekend, all the bales of hay that the children are sitting on will be courtesy of me.

A friend of mine that recently left her job has decided to take an extra special vacation this year. She plans on going to the las vegas strip for Christmas. This really does sound like a good time, but I don’t know if I would want to go through Christmas. I think I would miss being around all my family members at that time of year. But since all her children are grown and live quite far away, maybe this is the only way she can cope. Well I really do hope that she has a great time and I’ve already put in my order for my collector spoon from Vegas.
