Not much to say

Well I think it’s finally happened.  I’ve run out of things to say.  That is an extremely new thing to happen to a person like me.  Normally I can think of tons of things to post about and usually have a hard time finding enough time in the day to do all the postings I would like.  But, this past week I really am floundering for some useful things to talk about.  I think this is what you would call “blogger’s block”.  Oh well, I’m sure some topics will come back to me eventually and soon I will be posting again like crazy.  Until then I guess I’ll just wish you all a happy week.  And happy posting!

Having a bit of trouble

Right now I have seven blogs on the go and all of them are hosted through Bluehost. I am extremely happy with the service and the hosting plan I have with them, but I am having a serious problem with this blog. Right now I use Filezilla to transfer files, templates, and plugins for all my blogs. Here is my problem….

For the past month I have been trying to change the theme on this blog, but am not having any success with it. I have found a couple of themes that I would like to possibly use, but for some reason I cannot upload them into my theme directory. I am able to upload different themes onto my other blogs, so I honesty don’t know what I’m doing wrong on this one.

If anyone could give me some directions or advice in this matter, I would greatly appreciate it.

When I first started blogging almost two years ago I discovered something wonderful. I discovered that I could make a little extra cash through paid posting. The first company that I started working for was PayPerPost and let’s just say that I’ve been quite pleased with my decision to do some paid posting and working with PayPerPost. Not only have I been able to earn a little cash doing something that I would be doing for free anyway, but it has also given me a great opportunity to discover new products and services that I may otherwise not know existed.

Paid blogging is not only great for bloggers, but it’s an amazing advertising venue for advertiser’s as well. Not only are they getting their products and services seen by hundreds of visitors through the use of paying for blog ads, but this type of advertising is one of the more inexpensive methods to get their message across the Internet world. Through PayPerPost and now IZEA (same owner’s) any company can get their message across to a lot of people. And we all know that the more people who are exposed to your message, the more profits you can potentially make.

So if your an advertiser and have never used this particular method when advertising your message, there is no time like the present to jump right in and start getting your message out there. With thousand’s of bloggers just waiting to relay your products and services, why not stop by PayPerPost or IZEA and discover for yourself just how effective paid blogging can be for you and your company.

Weeks vacation

Within the next month my husband will be taking another week’s vacation. We are planning on going camping for the entire week. We normally go to one specific campsite when we go camping, but that is only because it is close to home and usually my husband is on call for work so it makes sense to stay close to home. But when he’s on vacation, he won’t be on call so we are planning on going to a few different campsites. Although I won’t get very much work done on the computer while we are away, I do plan on taking my laptop with us just in case we are at a site that offers free wireless. I’ve never gone camping with my laptop before so this will definitely be a new experience for me.

Giving up for today

Today has been a seriously horrible day on the Internet.  First thing this morning all my sites when down.  When I contacted Blue host to see if it was a problem on my end, I was informed that it was a scheduled maintenance and would be down for six to eight hours.  Thanks for telling me in advance.  So for eight hours I couldn’t do any posting.  Now the server is failing on one of the company’s sites that I do paid posting on.  So the reservation I have to do the  post looks like it’s going to expire before I can get back in the site to do it.  So now I’m seriously frustrated and have decided to give up posting for the night.  Hopefully tomorrow is a better day online and I won’t be so frustrated and will be able  to get more accomplished.

Fasten your seat belts

Fasten your seat belts guys.  Were in for a bumpy ride.  Google has started updating page ranks again.  Although they won’t be finished this process until May 22, it’s still quite interesting to see how each of my sites will be affected.  As of today only one site (this one) has page rank.  All the other sites are still sitting at 0.  But hopefully before it’s all said and done, some of the sites will see an increase in rank as well.

Unfortunately there is nothing that anyone can do but sit and wait.  It’s really a guessing game at this point.  But I’ll be sure to let you all know how I make out with this latest update and I would sure love to hear from you all on how well you made out as well.
