I just got a phone call that my niece is getting married. And once again, this is one wedding that I will not be able to go to. My niece lives over 1000 miles away so attending this wedding is out of the question. She is going to e-mail pictures of some of the bridal gowns that she’s looking at so I’ll at least get to see what she might look like on her big day. And of course my brother will e-mail me pictures of her on her big day. I just wish they didn’t live so far away. Maybe then I wouldn’t miss so much that is going on with my family.

I can’t believe how much rain we have gotten over the past three days and if the weatherman is to believed, we have more coming. Plus we have had lots of wind and some people in our area have been without power for over four hours. This is pretty strange fall weather but at least it’s not snow. So I guess I can put up with the rain for a little while longer. I just wish it would stop long enough so the kids could go outside for a little while so I can have some peace.

I swear I spend most of my free time cleaning this house and most days it looks like I haven’t done a thing. I spent the majority of the day yesterday dusting all my horizontal blinds and washing walls and now today it looks like I didn’t do a thing yesterday. Now I know I worked hard, I just wish that my work would show to the rest of the family. Oh well, I’ll keep plugging away at the cleaning and hopefully one of these days my house will look like I actually did some work in it.
