So as you all know, I have a sick little boy at my house these days. Today is Friday and he has had his medication since Monday night, but he’s still coughing up a storm. So this mean is that I’ve barely got any sleep this past week and I’m completely exhausted. I have no energy for anything and I swear that if had to hop on some ellipticals right now, I honestly don’t think I could do it. I really don’t think I can go like this much longer, so I really, really hope this kid gets better soon.

My youngest son is sick once again. He’s been sick since Friday. I took him to the clinic last night and found out that he has a throat infection. The doctor gave him a prescription and he’s good to go. Hopefully this medication works quickly and he starts to feel better soon. I sure hope so. He is up every night coughing, so you guessed it… I’m up every night. I am so tired these days that I really believe if I took some sleeping pills, I would be knocked out for a week. Hopefully him and I will both get a good night’s sleep tonight.

I can’t believe how fast the school year has gone. Both the children did a wonderful job once again this year at school. I’ve already been told by both of their teachers that they both have passed. So this is a really great relief off my mind. Now it’s time to start thinking about the end of the school year presents. I always buy a gift for the teachers, the bus driver and this year I will have to look into coach gifts as well. But by purchasing all these gifts, it shows the kids teachers that we really do appreciate all their hard work. Now all I have to do is decide what to buy.

After the crappy weather that we’ve had for the past week, it sure is nice to see the sunshine again. It’s so nice outside today that I really don’t want to be sitting at my computer and writing about the best wrinkle creams around or anything else. I just want to be outside enjoying the day. But unfortunately I have a lot of work that needs to get done today so I really don’t think I’ll be enjoying too much of that sun after all. Oh well, I guess I’ll just have to open the windows in the house and just pretend that I’m out there myself.

Well as you all know, Friday I received my income tax refund. So over the weekend I started spending it. Not a whole lot mind you, but spending it none the less. Because this was kind of extra money, I had not intentions of spending it on bills. And so far I haven’t. Saturday night I took the family out to a nice restaurant and paid for supper. The kids had a blast and the meal was really, really good. It was definitely worth the coin I spent on it. Today I am headed out to the fabric store to purchase some fabric for some handcrafted bags that I want to make. So once again I will be spending it, just on fun stuff.

Yay! My income tax refund was in the mail yesterday. So that means that today I’m going to go out and do a little shopping. I plan on taking my kids and my husband out to supper and I plan on doing a little window shopping to see what might pipe up that I want to buy. Who knows, maybe I’ll buy a KVM switch or maybe not. But whatever it goes on, it will not go on bills. This money is extra money from our household income and for once I plan on using it for fun stuff.

I am not a very patient person. A little over a month ago I filed my income tax for the year and since I’m due a refund this year, I have been anxiously awaiting my refund check to come in the mail. There are so many things that I need to pay with this money with the major expense being my life insurance policy needing to be paid. I have been stalking the mailman for the past week, but still no check. I really do hope that it arrives soon otherwise, I’m going to drive myself, my husband and the mailman batty.

You know it’s almost the end of the school year when the children come home asking for money for the end of the school year items and activities. The other day my son came home from school with the order form for his school year book. My daughter will end up bring home a similar form as well. Plus he needs money for two field trips. So this is how I know that the school year is slowly winding down. When the children need all this extra money. But this is also their favorite time of the school year so I guess if it cost me a little money for them to have a little extra fun, then it is all worth it.

I need to make some decisions in life. For the past three years I have been a blogging fool but have found lately that I really don’t have the passion to do this much longer. As I really don’t want to give up blogging altogether, I really need to find a happy medium where blogging is concerned. I used to blog about everything from humidifier filters to my family’s antics. But lately I can’t seem to find anything I want to blog about. I’m thinking about giving up some of my blogs (I have a lot) and just concentrating on a select few. Maybe then I’ll get my blogging fever back once again.
