Filed Under (Income, Work) by Kim on 30-12-2009

Well I’m going to try once again to find extra income working from home so I can replace my current income that I earn working outside the home. Now don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love my job, but I have to think about what summer will bring. We do a lot of camping during the summer, and since I work every weekend, this really isn’t going to work out. So I’ve been checking out some medical coding training courses and looking at different companies that are looking for content writers. I want to get this thing moving as quickly as I can so by the time summer arrives I will have everything all set up. I’ll keep you all posted.

Are you one of those fools that heads out to the stores this time of year to try to find some specials?? Well, I’m not, but my husband is. Early this morning him and my youngest son headed out to the malls to see what they could find. Apparently he was trying to find a good deal on a samsung led hdtv. They still haven’t arrived home yet, so I don’t know if he was successful in his efforts. He’s a lot braver than I am. I will probably venture out sometime next week when the stores aren’t so crazy. Until then, I definitely plan on staying home!

So we are all now down to the wire. I still have quite a bit of little things to finish that I’m really starting to worry just a bit. Not only do I need to decorate the Christmas tree (yeah, I know it’s December 22), but I also have to finish up a bit of shopping, wrapping and decorating. This is just the stuff I need to have done for Christmas. I also need to find inexpensive mortgage life insurance, finish up my blogging, and finish up an online test that I received on Friday. Man…. I still have a lot left to do. Oh well, what gets done, gets done and the rest will have to wait. I just wish that I had a few more days left before me.

First of all, before you think I’m complaining, really I’m not. I do really love my job but…. I don’t enjoy it very much when it gets so crazy on my shift that you can’t even think. Well, that’s what’s been happening lately. Right now I work at a busy family restaurant as a waitress and most days I absolutely love it. But after last night, I’m really considering switching over to a call center job or something similar at least until the busy season slows down. We were so busy and crazy last night I really didn’t know if I was coming or going. But after next week it will slow down back to normal, so I think I can stick it out for that long.

I really do have to wonder where all the time goes. In less than two weeks it will be Christmas, and I’m so…. not ready. I still have some shopping to do, wrapping and Christmas baking. I also have to continue to work around all this extra work as well. And the kids will be out for Christmas vacation on Friday so I have to get everything done before Friday. I really don’t think I’m going to make it. I really do love the Christmas season, but I do get stressed this time of year as well. Oh well, time won’t stand still for me. So I guess I’ll have to do what I can do and let the rest of the stresses just go.

I have to tell you all that I am so not impressed with our weather right now. I just came back from doing some errands and I am so cold it’s really not funny. Instead of being here in our province, I am so wishing I was sitting in one of the hotels in florida right now. Although the actual temperature is only minus five, with the wind chill, it’s really minus thirteen. That’s cold. And yes, we do have lots and lots of wind. Thankfully I don’t have to go out in this again today as I really don’t think I could stand any more cold.

I’m having a seriously difficult time finding Christmas gifts for my daughter. My youngest son (who is 9) is super easy to buy for, but my 11 year old daughter is definitely another story. I was thinking about purchasing her some stainless steel drums but just found out that she quit the percussion club at school, so I don’t think that would make a very good gift now. She is heavily into animals, but there is only so many animals that a person can buy her as well. Hopefully I’ll come up with a bright idea soon. After all, Christmas is only 15 days away.
