Well you can certainly tell that we are in the last half of the school year. It is time once again for my daughter to get ready for several violin concerts. As performing in front of a crowd is probably her favorite part of playing the violin, she is anxiously awaiting for the next couple of months to be finished with. Then she has her four hour long fiddle-a-thon, her district music festival and her end of the year extravaganza. It’s quite amazing actually how good she has become. And when it’s time to perform in front of an audience, I’m sure she will do a wonderful job.

My, how time flies.

I’m really starting to hate Mondays. Most of you may not know this, but I do have a part time job. The only time I work at my job is Saturday and Sundays so that pretty much makes it impossible to get a whole lot done on the weekends. So Monday is the day that I end up having to get everything done. Well today is Monday and this holds true for today. Today I need to do a lot of housework, go to the grocery store and I also have quite a bit of computer work to do as well. So now you know why I’m really starting to hate Mondays.

Why does it seem like January is the month when all you hear is about people trying to lose weight and about them trying out different weight loss pills? Is it because it’s just shortly after the holidays and people think that they over-indulged and need the extra help to get these pounds and inches off? My brother is a perfect example of this. Every January he goes on a health kick, but after a couple of months I never hear about his activities or progress in this area. And then I hear about it again when the new year rolls around.

Well true to form, he has been on his weight loss kick again. I wonder if it will last past February this year. Time will tell I guess.

Today the kids are home from school because we got hit with a major snowstorm last night. We got over 25 cm of snow dumped on us. Then when the snow stopped falling, we then were greeted with some wonderful freezing rain. Well you can just about imagine what kind of shape the roads are in our area today. I really don’t mind snow days as it means that the kids are not on the icy roads. But, I really don’t enjoy listening to all the fighting that usually accompanies a snow day. But (knock on wood) the fighting hasn’t been too bad today. Hopefully this trend continues on for the rest of this unexpected snow day.

Well we are on our third day of my husband being home on holidays and let me tell you all that he is starting to drive me a little insane. When he’s not working, he gets bored. And when he gets bored, he thinks it’s quite fun to annoy the heck out of me. So too keep his boredom at a minimum, I have given him quite a big project to do. I have decided that I really want to re-do my home office. I plan on doing some material handling myself in this little project. I will let him do most of the work, but I really want the finishing touches to be my own. Hopefully this project will keep him busy for the rest of the week so he will leave me alone for a while.

Wow I can’t believe that it’s been almost a week since I’ve come in here and posted. I guess time kind of got away from me. Since the kids went back to school I have been in a serious cleaning of my house mode. I have been trying to get one room cleaned at a time, but the process is a little slow. Then over the weekend I worked so I didn’t have very much time to spend on the computer. Hopefully I’ll have my house completely done the way I want it during the next week and will be able to get back to my online work more often. Until then…stay safe and have fun!

Well do you all notice anything different in here today? Well if you said new template, then you are correct! Today I decided would be the day that I would change this template. I have had the same one for a year now and to tell you the truth, I really didn’t like the old one. Over the past year I have tried to change it several times but have had no luck. Well I decided that today I wouldn’t stop trying until I figured it out! Well as you can all see, I did in fact figure it out. And…it was so darned easy I am still sitting here kicking myself at not figuring this out sooner. Oh well, better late than never I always say.

I warned you all. I’m really not a techie person and I just proved to the world and all you Entrecard users that I really wasn’t lying. Today I went to do some dropping from Entrecard and discovered that I didn’t even have the widget displaying anymore. I didn’t do this on purpose! Honest! I really don’t know where it went. But, I re-installed the widget so we are all good to go again. So, if you’ve stopped by previously and went to drop your card but didn’t find one. Well….sorry. And I honestly can’t say it won’t happen again as I really don’t know why it happened in the first place. But…what I can tell you is that it won’t happen again on purpose!

Well now that it’s officially a new year I did make a new year’s resolution this year. I have decided that I’m going to get extremely serious as far as my crafting business goes. Last year wasn’t a really good year for my craft sales and I do intend on changing that this year. I’m going to set aside more time for crafting and then I’m going to advertise my crafts a whole lot more than I have done in the past. I’m hoping that I can make enough money to purchase a couple of Hamilton watches for my husband and my oldest son for their birthdays. Hopefully this little bit of motivation will get me off my butt and get me working more on my crafts. Wish me luck!!
