I have to tell you all that I’m starting to get a little nervous concerning Christmas. It’s less than three weeks away and I’m no where ready! I still have a couple of presents to make, lots of presents to buy and wrap and all my Christmas baking left to do. I really don’t know where I’m going to find the time to get all these things done. This normally happens to me every year as I have a tendency to put things off. You would think that I would have learned my lesson by now, but no I’m still scrambling every year. Oh well. I guess what I do eventually get done will have to be enough and I will try to do better next year. But, knowing me, that’s not going to happen and next year at this time, I’m still going to be scrambling.

Yes, it’s that time of year again. The time of year when my car is due for it’s annual car inspection. I really don’t like this time of year as you never know what it’s going to end up costing you to get the car up to specs to pass the inspection. At least with my car insurance payments, I know exactly what I need to pay and just pay it. Well last year it cost me over $1200 to get my car inspected and I’m really hoping that it doesn’t cost me quite so much this year. Hopefully it won’t as I didn’t drive my car all that much this year, so hopefully no parts need to be replaced. Oh well time will tell I guess. And if the car needs any work done on it to pass inspection, I’ll have to pay for it as I really do need my car!

With Christmas looming in plain sight, my husband and I have been trying to do a little cutting back to ensure that we have enough money to buy gifts for the kids for Christmas. I have been checking out different auto insurance quotes to try to save money and he has been working a lot of overtime to earn a little extra. Well I think we are doing pretty good so far and hopefully we will be able to find a little extra money in the next couple of weeks. Any time of the year is generally difficult to manage, but the months leading up until Christmas seem to be the worst as we are all looking for a little extra money for these extra purchases. I’ll be glad when the purchasing season is fast behind us. Maybe then some of this stress will go away as well.
