When I was growing up, I never wanted to have any kids. I wouldn’t even babysit as I really didn’t enjoy being around children. Thankfully I grew out of that stage and now have three children of my own. I would have loved to have more kids than three, but because raising kids is so expensive I knew that three was the absolute most that we could afford. With the cost of disposable diapers, formula and even clothing, I am amazed that we could afford to raise the three. I really have to wonder sometimes why it’s so expensive for baby items. But now I’m out of the baby stage and am starting to find out that raising 7 and 9 year olds can be just as expensive as having babies.

I agree. Raising a family is expensive. I don’t know how families manage it!
