For about the past month now my husband has not been really happy with his present employment. He dreads going to work in the mornings and by the time he gets home at night, he is usually a royal bear. So a couple of weeks ago he finally told his boss how he feels and indicated that if things didn’t change around the job site, he would be leaving. They had a nice talk (after a lot of yelling) and seemed to work things out.
Well this morning when he arrived at work his boss called him into the office for his annual review. Well, I will leave it up to your imagination on how well he figured this was going to go. Well he was extremely surprised to find out that his boss gave him an awesome review (even after all the yelling), with a bonus and a nice raise in pay.
So I guess the moral of this story is…stand up for yourself, let your feelings known and everything will work out as they should. So for right now I guess he is going to stay put. Unless him and his boss decide that they need to get into it again.
Yeah for your hubby!! And you for you too
it might surprise you that here in the philippines, it’s not usually a common thing to have a ‘yelling session’ with your boss about your feelings on work. haha. kinda sucks, i know, and usually employers find out that their staff is mad at them when they hand in the resignation letter.
