Surprisingly Insightful

So for the past 40 years, I have been trying to gain weight.  I’m not kidding.  All my life I have been underweight and I have just as hard of time gaining any extra weight as anyone who is trying to lose it.  Before I went on my “I have to gain weight” crusade, I weighed in at an unhealthy 89 pounds and am five foot one inch tall.  For my height my ideal weight is 110 pounds and I’ve never seen that without being pregnant.

But, the good news is, is that I have now broken the 100 pound mark.  Yeah!!  All I need is 10 more pound to go.  But I know once I hit this landmark, I’m probably going to lose it within a couple of months.  So when I finally hit my mark I then have to find a way to keep it all.

ps.  Just in case your wondering, this post in no way has anything to do with my previous post about my butt being too big. lol  I think my pants just gave up the fight all on their own.

First of all I’d like to tell you all that I am not the type of girl who is massively into clothes.  As long as I have a decent pair of jeans, a couple of sweatshirts and a couple of  turtle necks to call my own I’m one happy lady.  Well I HAD two pairs of jeans that I just absolutely loved!!  Notice I said HAD.  One pair had to go in the scrap pile last week due to the fact they have a huge hole in the seat of the them.  And…..same affliction happened to the other pair this morning.  Hence my question.  Is my butt getting bigger or is it a coincidence that both pairs of my beloved pants wore out at the exact same place within a week of one another.

I don’t know.  You be the judge.  LOL  Now I have to go pants shopping and I absolutely despise clothes shopping.  But if I want some pants to cover my (you know) I guess I’ll have to bite the bullet and venture out.

The Easter bunny at our house was a huge success once again this year.  Not only did he drop off a ton of candy and chocolates, but he also dropped off each of the kids their very own digital cameras.  Their not top quality of course (their kid’s ones), but they take a pretty decent picture for the type of camera that they are. 

So the kids have been busy snapping pictures and I have been busy loading them up to their computer.  Both of them enjoy taking pictures of one another.  This is one of the pictures that my daughter took with her camera of my son.  I figured since I talk A LOT about the kids maybe it’s about time I start showing you what they look like. As you can see, it’s a little blurry, but you get the picture. lol

Another week has come and gone so it’s time for me to express my thanks once again to all my top droppers for the week. I really do appreciate your continued drops and this is just my little way of saying thanks. So to all my top dropper, I would like to say a huge thank you!!

The kids absolutely adore their grandfather.  When he calls they are normally right up beside me wanting to talk to him.  But, today was a little different.  My father-in-law called and when he asked if he could talk to the kids, I put them on the phone.  But, neither one of them wanted to talk to him for very long as they were busy playing on the computer and wanted to get back at it.

 Now, I know they love him and he knows it too, but sometimes computers are a little more important than grandpa’s don’t ya know.

One of the things that I like to do to pass a little bit of time away while on the Internet is to enter online contests. Last year I was quite lucky and actually won three different online contests. Most contests are really easy to enter and are fun to participate in.

Wow,  I can’t believe that this is the middle of March already!  It seems like it was just yesterday that I was getting the kids all ready to go back to school.  Now we are getting close to getting the kids ready for summer.  Camping, yeah!! (I just  had to throw throw that in).  On Thursday they will come home with their second report card of the year, and that means that their is only one report card day left of the year.

The kids have had a great year with no complaints from or about either one of them.  So even though the school season is slowly coming to an end, I have to say that both kids will be happy to have it behind them.  After a small break for summer vacation, I’m sure they will look forward to another fast, but wonderful school year.  Grade 3 and 5.  Boy, don’t I feel old!!

Well it’s that time of week again. Time to give thanks and acknowledgements to all my top droppers from for the week. I really do appreciate the continued drops, and this my way of giving back. This morning when I checked my e-mails, I seen that I had a message on my facebook account.  For those of you that don’t know about facebook, it another social networking site.  You can find friends and family and have discussions with them and basically reconnect.  Now I don’t spend a whole lot of time in there, but I do have some family members and friends that have found me.

Why I found this message so cool this morning was because it was from a girl that I graduated with over 20 years ago.  It was so surprising and neat to re-connect with her there.  We exchanged a few messages and became friends.  So now I can keep up with her day to day life and find out what has been going on with her for the past 20 years.  How cool is that??

For about the past month now my husband has not been really happy with his present employment.  He dreads going to work in the mornings and by the time he gets home at night, he is usually a royal bear.  So  a couple of weeks ago he finally told his boss how he feels and indicated that if things didn’t change around the job site, he would be leaving.  They had a nice talk (after a lot of yelling) and seemed to work things out.

Well this morning when he arrived at work his boss called him into the office for his annual review.  Well, I will leave it up to your imagination on how well he figured this was going to go.  Well he was extremely surprised to find out that his boss gave him an awesome review (even after all the yelling), with a bonus and a nice raise in pay.

So I guess the moral of this story is…stand up for yourself, let your feelings known and everything will work out as they should.  So for right now I guess he is going to stay put.  Unless him and his boss decide that they need to get into it again.
