Have a great weekend and I’ll see you all the first of next week!
That’s right guys. The children and my lovely husband have passed on their illness. Yesterday I wasn’t feeling the best, but today I feel like total crap! I even tried to eat something, but that didn’t really work out in my favor. Oh well, if this takes a while to get over then I really won’t have to invest in a weight loss diet pill now will I??? Well all I’m going to do is finish posting on all my blogs. Then I’m going to turn off the computer for the rest of the day and try to get some rest. Hopefully I’ll be better by Sunday as I do have to work a small shift that day. Really who wants a waitress that is sick?? Not me.
Every now and again my husband has to go out of town for his work. And every time he goes, the kids get really upset. Well, you guessed it! He’s off and running again. He did inform the kids last night of his plans and neither one is very impressed. But, what can he do? So for the next couple of weeks we will be busy trying to get him ready to go away for a week. Because he is going to be out of the province for a week, I am insisting that he purchase medical travel insurance. He thinks it’s a big waste of time and money, but hey, you can never be too careful right?! And that gives us two weeks to get the kids used to the idea of him being away from home. I don’t like it when he goes out of town, but if he wants to keep his job, this is what he has to do.
I have decided that now is the time for me to think about quitting smoking. I have been a smoker for almost 30 years so I think it’s probably time that I kick this habit. I don’t have to worry about quitting smoking cigars as the only thing I smoke is cigarettes. But I know this is going to be one habit that is going to be hard to break. I plan on buying a box of the patches and going from there. Hopefully soon I’ll be able to post that I’m a non smoker. It sure will be different.
I really do despise winter. Not only do I hate the snow and the cold, but with all this dry air weather, I get really bad acne as well. I tend to spend a fortune on acne treatments and it’s normally only during the winter months. I don’t know if this is because the air is dryer or if it’s because of the cold. But I can tell you when winter has arrived, it’s about the same time as when my face breaks out. So… for about the next four months, I will be suffering through some sever acne moments. Then when the spring season arrives, hopefully I will have clearer skin for a few months.
So with my inspection almost due on the car I drive now, we have decided it will be cheaper to purchase a new vehicle for me than to fix up this car. Last year I was in a minor accident and broke the frame of the car. As it sits right now, it won’t pass. And I’m pretty sure it will cost quite a bit to fix. So for the last little while my husband and I have been looking at newer cars and auto accessories as well. At first we were only looking for SUVs and small trucks but right now we would even take a smaller car as long as it was in good shape. So I have about a month to look for a new vehicle and to find the money somewhere to pay for it. Wish me luck!
As you can tell by my recent posts (or lack there of) I haven’t been in here blogging very much. There is a reason for this. I now lack the motivation to get in here and post. After blogging for three years, I think I’m finally running out of steam. I really don’t want to give up blogging all together, but if my interest doesn’t return I’m afraid that this might happen. Hopefully all I need to do is take a little break and then things may fall back into place again. So… you probably will see me in here every once and a while for a while, but when things change here at home, I do have plans of spending more time in here.
With the way the economy is these days, I’m sure the thoughts of Christmas and all that shopping has probably gotten you a little frightened. I know I am. I have three kids to buy for, my husband and my husband’s father and wife. And with a very limited budget, I’m not sure I’m going to be able to purchase everything that I want to. This is why I use coupons. Using coupons really does save me quite a bit of money in my shopping experiences. I not only use them for Christmas, but I have grocery and Medifast coupons as well. You just never know when any type of coupon may come in handy. So for the next month or so I’m going to spend quite a bit of time online finding coupons for all the products I want to buy. Hopefully this way all that Christmas shopping won’t be quite so scary.
