Busy, Busy, Busy

With my hectic schedule for the next month, I really don’t need to worry about gaining weight or taking Leptovox. Between three sets of family members arriving from out of town any day now and with all the running that I need to do with the children, I’ll be lucky if I have a moment to myself. I really don’t mind this busy period in my life, but times it does get a little overwhelming. Sometimes I would just like to go find a corner and hide in it. But what keeps me going is that the busier I am the happier the children are. And when their happy so am I. So I guess I’ll just put up with my busy season and be thankful that September is just around the corner.

Cleaning out the dressers

Since today is such a crappy day out today (weather wise) I have decided that it’s a great day to clean out mine and my husband’s dressers. When I finally do get around to doing this, I usually have a rule: if it hasn’t been worn in six months, it’s got to go. So I have no doubt that I will be tossing out a lot of the cheap lingerie that my husband has purchased me over the years. I honestly don’t wear these types of things and really could never understand why he still insists on purchasing them. But if I follow my rule, I will be getting rid of all of it as I never have worn any of it. Even when it was brand new.

Fireworks in the park

Last night, on our street, everyone got a little treat.  The park manager went out and spent quite a bit of money for some fireworks and set them off around 10:00 pm.  We didn’t know this was going to take place until later in the evening or we would have gone out and purchased our own to add to his collection.  The kids thought this was a super treat.  Although I do get a bit annoyed sometimes about living in the park, little neighborhood things like this certainly pick my spirits up.  Tuesday here in Canada is Canada day so most of the neighbors on the street are going to get together and have another fireworks display.  The kids will love it and it will be a great way to end this holiday as well as a very unique way of getting to know the neighbors.

Summer routine

Now that summer is here and the kids aren’t in school any longer, my busy time has begun. During the summer months I spend a lot of time running them from camps to swimming lessons and I don’t always eat the way I should. So during the summer I tend to take a lot more supplements then I do in the winter. Yesterday I bought a bottle of supplements to do me for the summer. But I couldn’t get the ones that I normally purchase so I had to purchase a new kind. When I went to take my first pill this morning, I was amazed at the size of the pill. I honest thought they mixed up some horse supplements in with my supplements. To take one pill, I had to cut it into three pieces. I really hope this pills work, because if they don’t, I’m never buying them again.

Trying something new

As you all know, I make a lot of home made jewelry. Up until now I have been pretty much just making either one stranded beaded necklaces and bracelets or three stranded necklaces and bracelets. Well I have decided to try my hand at something new. I am going to attempt to make some religious jewelry as well. After browsing the Internet at various craft sites I have seen a lot of this type of jewelry displayed and I love the look of it. So if I love it so much, I’m sure other’s do as well. Hopefully I’ll be able to start on this type of jewelry making soon and then I will have other types of jewelry to sell as well.

Giving up for today

Today has been a seriously horrible day on the Internet.  First thing this morning all my sites when down.  When I contacted Blue host to see if it was a problem on my end, I was informed that it was a scheduled maintenance and would be down for six to eight hours.  Thanks for telling me in advance.  So for eight hours I couldn’t do any posting.  Now the server is failing on one of the company’s sites that I do paid posting on.  So the reservation I have to do the  post looks like it’s going to expire before I can get back in the site to do it.  So now I’m seriously frustrated and have decided to give up posting for the night.  Hopefully tomorrow is a better day online and I won’t be so frustrated and will be able  to get more accomplished.

Trip to Mexico

One of my husband’s dreams in life is to take a romantic trip to Mexico for just the two of us. Although we don’t have that kind of money right now to go on a trip like this, it is definitely on our list of things to do. So, just for fun the other day I was browsing the Internet and thought I would check to see how much a trip like this would cost us. I was actually quite surprised at how affordable this trip really could be.

I came across a site over at Sea Side Reservations which specializes in giving you information regarding this type of trip. They will direct you to the best prices on Rocky Point hotels, tell you all about the activities that are available in the and help you plan that dream vacation. With their helpful and knowledgeable staff directing you, it won’t be very long at all before your dream becomes a reality. So when my husband and I are all set to take our dream of a lifetime, you can bet that I’ll be back to visit this site.

It seems like all I do is post about the weather. Now normally my posts are quite negative. They usually entail me moaning and complaining about the rain that ruins our camping trips. Well today I am here to boast about the great weather that we have been experiencing for the kids first week of art camp. Summer is a great season to participate in a lot of outdoor sports if the weather co-operates and this week the kids are spending all their time outdoors at their camp. So it’s a good thing that the weather decided to co-operate with us. I think it knew better as it would have had a couple of angry kids to deal with. lol

Switching insurance companies

After being with the same insurance company for the past six years, I decided that it was time for a change. After checking around with different insurance companies to see which one would give me the better deal on term life insurance, I have decided that what my current insurance company is charging me is way to much. Normally I’m quite loyal to the companies I deal with but in this day and age if I can get a better price somewhere else, then that is where I’m going to end up. The new company that I’m going to go with has the best prices on all my insurance needs so it seems like the best move I can make at this time.
