As all you Canadians are aware of, tomorrow is a holiday. It is July 1st, which means this is Canada day. There are a ton of celebrations planned for this day and my husband and I are planning on taking the kids to one of them. The area where we normally go on Canada day always holds a car show. So this is the one that we normally attend. My husband and youngest son like to look at all the old cars as well as the new ones. Last year they spent quite a bit of time checking out the Ferrari parts which bored my daughter and I to death. But the boys enjoyed it. Hopefully this year there will be things for my daughter and I to look at.
Let me tell you all that I was not really pleased to turn on my TV on Saturday. First of all I had heard that Farrah Fawcett died and then heard of Michael Jackson’s death. This two events were tragic enough in their own right, but having both deaths on the same day, really made me think. I really have to wonder when we are going to start to hear about good things happening to people. I’m so sick of hearing about mesothelioma, death and disease all the time. I realize that everyone has to die at one point or another, but honestly what ever happened to people dieing of natural causes?? Does that even exist any more? I really do think it’s about time we heard some good news for a change.
On Saturday my husband and the kids started their vacation. It has been a pretty crappy vacation so far. It has rained non stop since Friday and it doesn’t look any better for the rest of the week. So so far not so good. And because the kids have been stuck in the house for three days straight, the are really not on their best behavior these days either. So it’s kind of a crappy time for the entire family right now. Hopefully things improve. I’ll keep you posted.
It never ceases to amaze about the new technology that comes out all the time. Take for instance the Holiday Photo Invitations that people can now purchase. It wasn’t many years ago since you hadn’t even heard tell of Christmas Photo Invitations and now, they are the most favorite type of invitations for people to purchase. Purchasing photo Christmas invitations and then handing them out to family and friends makes for a great keepsake for generations to come. I really have to wonder what type of photo holiday invitations they will come up with next.
Since the children will be home for about two months after tomorrow, I have changed my focus on what type of work I will be doing from home. I have decided that this summer will be the perfect time to try to get my home crafting business off the ground once again. So I really need to rearrange the home office once again. I need to get out my sewing machine, my craft table and my cash drawer. Since it will be easier to create crafts than work on the computer with two little people underfoot, I have decided to switch tasks for a little while. Now all I have to do is get my room rearranged and I can start creating crafts once again.
Tomorrow is the children’s final day of school. I have known for a couple of weeks now that both kids have passed the year. We were going to just go out and buy them their grading presents ourselves, but have now decided to let them pick out their own presents. So tomorrow when my husband gets home from work we will take the kids to the store and let them pick out their own presents. Then after we have done this, we are going to surprise them and take them out to supper. They both had a wonderful year, so they really do deserve this special little bit of treatment.
Last night as I was surfing the Internet I came across a site over at www.cards-411.com. This site supplies and sells Pregnancy Announcements. They have the widest variety of Announcements Pregnancy that I have found on the Internet. You can custom order your pregnancy announcement or you can pick from their many choices of maternity announcements. I know if I was looking for a site to purchase pregnancy cards, this would be the site I would look at. Their prices are extremely reasonable and with their fast shipping practices, you will have your invitations when you want them.
As a parent, there are certain things in life that I try to instill in my children. And one of those things is the importance of handing out thank you cards. When the children are given anything from someone, I try to ensure that they make up and send a thank you card. This is especially important around the holiday season. Even though my youngest son is only eight, for the past couple of years I have encouraged him to send Holiday Thank You Cards to his family for the gifts they give him. There is nothing better than receiving Thank You Cards Holidays especially when it comes from a child. I always send out Christmas thank you cards. And it is my hope that the children will continue to send out thank you cards holidays even when their well into their adult years and don’t have mom around to remind them.
I have to tell you all that I am pretty much at the end of my rope these days with my two youngest kids and all the fighting they do. They just never stop! They really do love one another, but for some reason they think they need to show their love by constantly fighting. In three days time they will be home from school for the summer and I honestly don’t know how this is going to work out. If they spend their entire summer vacation fighting, I really don’t know what I will do. I have tried everything to calm down all this fighting, but nothing seems to work.
So, if anyone in here has any ideas how I can control all this fighting, my ears are wide open.
